The loudest and clearest sound is someone hurting inside but never opening their mouth

The loudest and clearest sound is someone hurting inside but never opening their mouth. They do not talk about their problems or issues they never open to vent or share. Words never come out and ears will never hear. These people are creating an unimaginable amount of noise in the world.

The sound of their breath yells. The look of their eyes scream. The depth of their emotions begs.

What if we stopped to listen? What if we heard just enough to help. How many fantastic people are pushing and walking through life silently screaming and if we just stopped to listen we could help them find their own fantastic. I often wonder how many people sat next to me at a bar silently screaming. How many people waited in line shopping silently screaming, sitting in traffic silently screaming and if I had just stopped to listen I could have pierced the sound barrier. I could have done what they thought was unimaginable, helped them understand their silent screams matters ….that they matter.
